New service in Dubuque provides greater access to destinations across the Midwest and Eastern U.S.

DUBUQUE, IA — Effective June 30, 2026, Jefferson Lines will introduce a new bus stop in Dubuque with express routes to Minneapolis, Chicago, Mason City, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Des Moines.  

The new stop provides intercity bus service for Dubuque, and the new route strengthens transportation options throughout Iowa and the Midwest as a whole. Travelers will have expanded access to destinations beyond Iowa, including Minneapolis, Chicago and connections to Washington D.C., New York City, Baltimore and more. 

Passengers traveling from Dubuque will depart from the Intermodal Transportation Center, centrally located in the downtown area. The accessible location provides nearby transit options, parking and amenities.  

By connecting and improving travel connections within Iowa and enhancing service to major cities like Chicago and Minneapolis, the new routes offer visitors a quick, reliable transportation option throughout the Midwest. Passengers will now be able to travel directly to and from Dubuque, making regional trips more seamless and convenient.
