After a year in the throes of Unprecedented Times, we are very excited to see the first glimmers of light at the end of the long, tumultuous tunnel that was the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. Through the ups and downs, ever-changing regulations, and new procedures, we are so grateful for our team’s incredible dedication and our customers’ continuous support as we navigated these uncertain times.
As a company that has prioritized safety from the start (winning our first safety award in 1939…Woot! Woot!), we want our passengers to know that their health and safety remain our top priority, even as cases begin to drop across the country. This is why we are excited to unveil Jefferson Clean, our company-wide commitment to the health and safety of our passengers. Jefferson Clean is made of three main elements which enhance existing cleaning procedures and continue the precautions which have allowed our customers to travel in clean, affordable comfort from the start:
- Air Purification. New in-bus air filtration systems utilize bipolar ionization to significantly reduce airborne respiratory irritants, bacteria, and viruses (including COVID-19).
- Electrostatic Sanitation. Our electrostatic sprayers release high-grade EPA disinfectant that is statically-charged to fully wrap around an object and cover its entire surface.
- CDC Guidelines. We continue to stay up-to-date with state and federal health mandates and implement them across our buses and offices.
As always, we will continue to closely monitor the situation and modify our COVID response to make sure our passengers can travel safely and confidently at all times.
