Jefferson Lines to Continue Intercity Bus Service for Illinois Communities
Service to remain available for key Illinois cities and surrounding areas.
CHICAGO, IL — Effective September 28, 2025, Jefferson Lines will launch intercity bus service to key communities in Illinois as the company assumes service previously operated by Burlington Trailways. This transition underscores Jefferson Lines’ long-standing commitment to connecting communities in Illinois and across the Midwest.
The service provides essential connections to cities such as Bloomington, Champaign, Danville, Galesburg, Moline, Normal, Peoria, and Quincy. Jefferson Lines will maintain many existing schedules and stop locations, offering a seamless travel experience backed by over 100 years of experience in delivering comfortable and on-time travel to the Midwest.
